About

About Burns Projects

Burns Projects is a curatorial collaboration for professional work by the community built through Arts at Burns Piñon. Exhibitions, residencies, and events connect artistic practice with the desert ecology and built environment of the Burns Piñon Ridge Reserve.

The program grows from UC Irvine graduate seminars in 2022 and 2024 and the collective transformation of the reserve’s workshop into a space for creative work. Burns Projects presents the work that continues beyond the courses.

Burns Projects is organized by Jesse Colin Jackson and Zebulon Zang.

The reserve is located near Pioneertown, California, within unceded Serrano and Cahuilla territory. Learn more about the Burns Piñon Ridge Reserve.
